About the Role

AWS is seeking a Data Center Engineer/Technician to join their Infrastructure Operations team. The role involves troubleshooting and resolving data center infrastructure issues including hardware, fiber, and networking problems. This position requires maintaining safety standards and performing physical repairs on equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow and maintain highest safety standards and encourage safety culture
• Diagnose hardware and network problems followed by physical repairs
• Troubleshoot events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures
• Handle manual lifting and racking of equipment up to 40 pounds

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Saudi National
• 1+ years of computer networking experience
• 1+ years of Linux operating systems experience
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair

Nice to Have:

• Ability to work in cramped spaces or elevated locations while adhering to safety guidelines
• Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution under pressure
• Experience managing work through ticketing systems
• Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies
• Experience working in data center environment (racking/stacking gear, cable management)
