About the Role

This Data Engineer role at Amazon Health Services Central Marketing focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining data architecture and big data pipelines to support marketing optimization and customer insights. The position requires expertise in data modeling, ETL pipelines, and working with large datasets while collaborating with software engineering and analytics teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the AHS Marketing data architecture (design, implement, and maintain)
  • Define and build foundational data sets and infrastructure for business goals (tracking, attribution, valuation)
  • Lead GenAI initiatives orchestrating data platforms and automation frameworks
  • Establish key relationships across Amazon AHS business units and Business Intelligence teams
  • Implement standardized, automated operational and quality control processes for data delivery

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

  • 5+ years of data engineering experience
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large datasets
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices and full software development life cycle

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with AWS technologies (Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, etc.)
  • Experience with non-relational databases / data stores
  • Leveraging GenAI to accelerate development of data platforms and automation frameworks
