About the Role

The Data Engineer will develop and maintain scalable distributed systems for big data processing on AWS to support analytics and business intelligence. They will design data infrastructure, build pipelines, and work with heterogeneous data sources to enable data-driven decision-making across Amazon.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support scalable data infrastructure solutions
• Build and maintain data pipelines using SQL and AWS big data technologies
• Interface with technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from various sources
• Collaborate with business owners and developers to deliver data for reporting and analysis
• Explore and implement emerging AWS technologies to increase efficiencies

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Experience in data engineering
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines

Nice to Have:

• Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM
• Experience with non-relational databases or data stores (e.g., object storage, document stores)
