About the Role

Data Engineer II role at Amazon working on the Paragon case management system. Responsible for designing, implementing, and managing large-scale data infrastructure to support analytics needs. Expected to contribute across the entire data engineering lifecycle in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design/implement automation and manage massive data infrastructure to scale for analytics needs
• Build solutions to achieve BAA standards for system efficiency, data availability, consistency & compliance
• Enable efficient data exploration and experimentation of large datasets with data access control mechanisms
• Design and implement scalable and cost-effective data infrastructure for emerging marketplaces use cases
• Interface with other teams to extract, transform, and load data from various sources using SQL and AWS technologies

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• 3+ years of data engineering experience
• Experience with SQL
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
• Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language (Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS)

Nice to Have:

• Experience with AWS technologies (Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, IAM)
• Experience building large-scale, high-throughput, 24x7 data systems
• Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Spark, EMR)
