About the Role

Data Engineer III role at Amazon Web Services designing and implementing large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics. Responsibilities include data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and using SQL, Oracle, and OLAP technologies. The position requires mentoring junior engineers and participating in full development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop large-scale, high-performance data structures for business intelligence analytics
• Implement data structures using best practices in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, SQL, Oracle, and OLAP technologies
• Provide on-line reporting and analysis using OBIEE business intelligence tools against multi-dimensional datasets
• Gather business requirements and translate them into scalable, operable solutions within overall data architecture
• Mentor junior data engineers and participate in full development lifecycle from design to maintenance

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics or related field and 3 years experience
• Bachelor's degree in same fields with 7 years progressive experience accepted as equivalent
• 1 year experience developing large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics
• 1 year experience with ETL/ELT processes, OLAP technologies, data modeling, SQL, and Oracle
