About the Role

Data Engineer at Meta responsible for designing and building extensive data sets to shape product experiences across Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and other platforms. Collaborates with engineering, data science, and product teams to create scalable data solutions for over 3 billion users. Focuses on data architecture, ETL processes, data modeling, and driving product development through data insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and own data architecture for multiple large-scale projects
• Design, build, and launch sophisticated data models and visualizations
• Solve challenging data integration problems using optimal ETL patterns
• Define and manage Service Level Agreements for data sets
• Determine and implement security models based on privacy requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 7+ years of experience working with data (data analyst, data scientist, data engineer, or similar)
• 7+ years of experience with SQL, ETL, and data modeling
• 7+ years of experience with at least one programming language (Python, C++, C#, Scala, or others)

Nice to Have:

• Master's or Ph.D degree in a STEM field
