About the Role

This Data Scientist role at AWS's Generative AI Innovation Center focuses on applying cutting-edge generative AI algorithms to solve real-world customer problems. You'll collaborate with AI/ML scientists, interact directly with customers to implement solutions, and create best practices and technical content.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with AI/ML scientists to research, design, develop, and evaluate cutting-edge generative AI algorithms
• Interact with customers directly to understand business problems and help implement generative AI solutions
• Create and deliver best practice recommendations, tutorials, blog posts, sample code, and presentations
• Provide customer and market feedback to Product and Engineering teams to help define product direction

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Bachelor's OR Master degree with several years of experience
• Several years of experience with data querying languages (SQL), scripting languages (Python) or statistical/mathematical software
• Experience in algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, or machine learning
• Experience using Python and hands-on experience building models with deep learning frameworks
• Excellent French and English communication skills

Nice to Have:

• PhD or Masters degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, operations research, or quantitative field
• Practical experience in solving complex problems in an applied environment
• Hands-on experience with deep learning (CNN, RNN, LSTM, Transformer)
• Prior experience in training and fine-tuning of Large Language Models (LLMs)
