About the Role

Data Scientist at Meta responsible for quantitative analysis, data mining, and statistical interpretation to influence product decisions. Works with Product and Engineering teams on diverse projects including product operations and data infrastructure. Requires expertise in SQL, Python, and machine learning techniques.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, organize, interpret, and summarize statistical data for product design
• Apply quantitative analysis and data mining to understand user interactions
• Partner with Product and Engineering teams to solve problems and identify opportunities
• Inform and execute product decisions and launches
• Work on diverse projects including product operations and data infrastructure

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
• 1 year of experience in quantitative analysis and data mining on complex data sets
• Proficiency in SQL and Python
• Experience with statistical software (R, SAS, or Matlab) and applied statistics/experimentation (e.g., A/B testing)

Nice to Have:

• Experience with machine learning techniques
• Knowledge of ETL processes and relational databases
• Familiarity with large-scale data processing infrastructures using distributed systems
