About the Role

The Engagement Manager leads complex cloud solution projects for AWS Professional Services, combining technical expertise with project leadership to deliver AWS-based implementations. They bridge business requirements with technical solutions, manage risks, and ensure alignment with customer outcomes while maintaining security clearances.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading and managing complex cloud migration and implementation projects
• Bridging business requirements with technical solutions and facilitating engineering discussions
• Distilling customer needs into clear technical requirements and mapping them to business outcomes
• Decomposing complex technical problems into actionable, deliverable solutions
• Contributing to technical documentation and defining documentation standards

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• 3+ years of cloud architecture and solution implementation experience
• Knowledge of primary AWS services (EC2, ELB, RDS, Route53, S3)
• Experience implementing AWS services in distributed computing environments
• Active TS/SCI security clearance (must maintain and obtain polygraph as needed)

Nice to Have:

• 5+ years of IT implementation experience
• Degree in advanced technology or AWS Professional level certification
• Knowledge of AWS services across compute, storage, networking, security, databases, ML, and serverless
• Knowledge of security and compliance standards like HIPAA and GDPR
• Experience leading design, development, and deployment of business software at scale
