About the Role

Founding Engineer role at Godela building the first Physics Foundation Model. Responsible for turning cutting-edge ML models into production-ready applications and shaping the platform's architecture and culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Build robust user-facing systems exposing physics-informed models
• Own end-to-end delivery from prototype to production deployment
• Translate ML research into usable, scalable tools
• Design APIs connecting training pipelines and customer interfaces
• Shape culture, architecture, and trajectory of the early startup

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Strong software engineering fundamentals in Python and backend frameworks
• Experience building applications integrating ML/AI systems
• Comfort working across stack with bias toward execution
• Hands-on cloud, containerization, and orchestration experience
• Track record delivering high-impact systems in fast-moving environments
• Ownership, urgency, and comfort with ambiguity mindset

Nice to Have:

• Experience scaling ML inference systems with multi-GPU distributed serving
• Familiarity with engineering domains like simulation or scientific computing
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, or MLOps frameworks
• Experience with interactive scientific/engineering applications
