About the Role

Founding Simulation Engineer at Godela building the world's first Physics Foundation Model. Responsible for defining data representation methodology, validation strategy, and generating simulation data across physics domains. Works on scalable pipelines and collaborates with ML researchers to ensure models align with physical truth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define methodology for representing physical systems in data and models
  • Own strategy for validating model outputs against simulation and experimental data
  • Generate and curate simulation data across multiple physics domains (CFD, FEA, multiphysics)
  • Build scalable pipelines for turning simulation/experimental data into training-ready datasets
  • Drive research and engineering of novel techniques for data augmentation and generation

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

  • Deep experience with simulation domains (CFD, FEM, DEM) and commercial/open-source solvers
  • Strong proficiency in Python programming
  • Proven track record building and managing data pipelines for large datasets
  • Demonstrated ability to creatively solve complex, unstructured problems

Nice to Have:

  • Solver development experience
  • Familiarity with ML frameworks like PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow
  • Experience with parallel and distributed computing for simulation or data processing
  • Experience with Graph Neural Networks, Physics-Informed Neural Networks, Neural Operators, and Transformer architectures
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms and high-performance computing environments
