About the Role

The AGI team seeks a Member of Technical Staff to advance state-of-the-art Generative AI with Large Language Models and multimodal systems. Responsibilities include leading algorithm development, foundational model training, and optimization to impact customer products.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead development of algorithms and modeling techniques for LLMs
• Lead foundational model development including model training and dataset design
• Conduct pre- and post-training optimization
• Leverage Amazon's data sources and computing resources
• Impact customers through GenAI products and services

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• PhD or Master's degree with 2+ years in CS, CE, ML or related field
• 2+ years building models for business applications
• Experience with generative deep learning models (CNNs, GANs, VAEs, NF)
• Programming experience in Java, C++, Python or related language

Nice to Have:

• PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or related field
• Strong experience with Generative AI and Large Language Models
• Patents or publications at top-tier conferences or journals
• Experience with PyTorch
