About the Role

The AGI team seeks a Member of Technical Staff to advance state-of-the-art Generative AI and Large Language Models. You will lead foundational model development, including training, dataset design, and optimization, impacting customer products and services. This role leverages Amazon's data and computing resources to accelerate LLM advances.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead development of algorithms and modeling techniques for LLMs
• Lead foundational model development in applied research role
• Conduct model training, dataset design, and pre- and post-training optimization
• Impact customers through products and services using GenAI technology
• Leverage Amazon's data sources and computing resources for LLM advances

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• PhD, or Master's degree and 2+ years of CS, CE, ML or related field experience
• 2+ years of building models for business application experience
• Experience with generative deep learning models (CNNs, GANs, VAEs, NF)
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language

Nice to Have:

• PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or related field
• Strong experience with Generative AI technologies and Large Language Models
• Experience with patents or publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals
• Experience with popular deep learning frameworks, including PyTorch
