About the Role

Microsoft Digital seeks a Principal AI Architect to lead AI transformation for enterprise infrastructure and networking. The role involves designing AI-driven solutions, integrating agent-based architectures, and collaborating across teams to deploy scalable AI systems. This senior position requires extensive experience in AI, cloud platforms, and large-scale system architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Design AI-driven infrastructure and networking solutions using agentic AI and generative models
• Lead integration of agent-based architectures for autonomous workflows and intelligent decision-making
• Partner with engineering and research teams to deploy scalable, secure AI solutions
• Mentor teams to adopt AI-native engineering practices and foster experimentation
• Collaborate with architects to ensure strategic alignment and drive execution of AI vision

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience coding in Python, C# or Java OR equivalent experience
• 5+ years experience architecting and delivering large-scale, production-grade infrastructure or networking systems
• Experience building AI-driven agentic solutions from conception to scale, including work with LLMs, generative AI, and multi-agent orchestration
• Experience with IaC/NaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP)

Nice to Have:

• Skilled at cross-divisional relationship building and collaboration with partners
• Ability to drive for results, influence stakeholders, and navigate ambiguity
• Understanding of AI safety, security, and responsible AI practices
• Experience contributing to open-source, standards, or industry consortia in AI or infrastructure domains
