Key Responsibilities

• Develop machine learning techniques for AI safety and alignment
• Design and build responsible AI systems at scale

• Maintain and monitor production AI systems
• Iterate on AI systems from development to production

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Doctorate in relevant field AND 3+ years research experience OR equivalent experience
• Experience with large language models (LLMs)
• Solid foundation in large distributed systems, algorithms, and software engineering principles
• Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud background check

Nice to Have:

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science or related field
• 5+ years experience in research/ML engineering or applied research scientist position
• Hands-on experience with deep learning and transformer-based models
• Understanding of LLM training methods (distillation, fine-tuning, policy optimization)
