About the Role

Lead the integration of AI and machine learning into security architecture for Microsoft's hardware infrastructure. Drive innovation across firmware and software security layers to proactively detect and mitigate threats. Provide technical leadership to enhance team productivity and system reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Define a roadmap for AI/ML usage across Firmware/Software Teams based on business ROI
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies for Secure System design and team efficiency
• Work with product architects and firmware teams to provide guidance and debugging using AI tools
• Develop and implement modular ML frameworks for hardware error prediction
• Ensure seamless integration of AI solutions with hardware and software components

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Doctorate in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience OR equivalent
• 1+ years of industry experience with ML engineering programming languages and platforms (e.g., Python, Databricks, Synapse)
• Experience building, deploying, and optimizing large-scale AI/ML models in real-world applications
• Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire and every two years

Nice to Have:

• 12+ years of technical engineering experience or equivalent education and experience
• Understanding of hardware and devices, or familiarity with OS device drivers and hardware health error reporting
• Experience in developing or modifying deep learning algorithms/architectures for computational and memory efficiency
• Solid data engineering and analysis experience
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently and strong communication/collaboration skills
