About the Role

Research Internship at Microsoft Research New England working on machine learning and statistics projects. Interns collaborate with leading researchers on applied and theoretical ML topics. This is a 12-week program where interns work with mentors, present findings, and contribute to research community.

Key Responsibilities

• Work alongside researchers on ML and statistics projects

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Accepted or currently enrolled in PhD program in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or related STEM field
• Physically located at Microsoft worksite for internship duration
• Submit minimum of two reference letters
• Submit cover letter and relevant work/research samples

Nice to Have:

• Demonstrated ability to develop original research agendas
• Able to collaborate effectively with other researchers and product teams
• Proficient interpersonal and cross-cultural collaboration skills
• Cover letter listing researchers of interest
