This role is a Research Scientist in Global Hiring Science, focusing on designing and implementing innovative hiring solutions at scale. Responsibilities include personnel selection research, statistical analysis, and translating findings into actionable strategies to optimize Amazon's talent acquisition processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design large-scale personnel selection research to shape global talent assessment practices
• Apply advanced statistical techniques to analyze datasets and optimize candidate evaluation processes
• Translate complex research findings into actionable strategies that influence business decisions
• Write impactful documents to communicate scientific concepts to diverse audiences
• Ensure effective teamwork and collaboration across multiple teams with competing priorities

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• PhD or Master's degree with 4+ years of quantitative field research experience
• Experience investigating feasibility of applying scientific principles to business problems
• 2+ years of experience in applied selection research, job analysis, test development, and validation
• Foundational skills in conducting experimental research studies and data analysis
• Proficiency in scripting for data analysis (e.g., R, Python)

Nice to Have:

• PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology or related field
• Familiarity with using GenAI tools and Large Language Models (LLMs) in personnel selection research
• Experience developing and maintaining global hiring assessments
• Strong consulting skills and track record of influencing stakeholders
• Experience conducting experimental research in an industry environment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong quantitative analytical abilities
• Strong organizational and time management skills
