About the Role

This role is a Research Scientist position within Amazon's Intelligent Talent Acquisition team, focusing on global hiring science. The scientist will design large-scale personnel selection research, apply advanced statistical techniques to optimize candidate evaluation, and translate research findings into actionable strategies to shape Amazon's talent acquisition roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

• Design large-scale personnel selection research shaping global talent assessment practices
• Partner with stakeholders to create innovative solutions blending scientific rigor with business impact
• Apply advanced statistical techniques to analyze massive datasets and optimize candidate evaluation
• Translate complex research findings into actionable strategies influencing senior leader decisions
• Write impactful documents distilling scientific concepts for diverse audiences

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• PhD, or Master's degree and 4+ years of quantitative field research experience
• Experience investigating feasibility of applying scientific principles to business problems and products
• Experience analyzing both experimental and observational data sets

Nice to Have:

• PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology or related field
• Familiarity with using GenAI tools and Large Language Models (LLMs) in personnel selection research
• Experience conducting job analysis and developing competency frameworks
• Strong consulting skills and track record of influencing stakeholders
• Experience conducting experimental research studies in an industry environment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong quantitative analytical abilities
• Strong organizational and time management skills
