About the Role

This is a PhD-level research scientist internship focused on advancing AI technologies, specifically in code generation and agentic modeling. The intern will conduct research to develop novel methods for intelligent machines and collaborate with cross-functional teams at Meta.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform research to advance the science and technology of intelligent machines
  • Develop novel methods and systems to advance the state of the art in agentic models
  • Collaborate with researchers and cross-functional partners including communicating research plans, progress, and results

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

  • Currently in process of obtaining PhD in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, Statistics, or relevant technical field
  • Experience with agent modeling, reinforcement learning, code generation, computational world modeling, language modeling, planning, or related areas
  • Experience with Python and deep learning frameworks such as Pytorch or Tensorflow
  • Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at time of hire and maintain ongoing authorization

Nice to Have:

  • Intent to return to degree program after internship completion
  • Proven track record of significant results demonstrated by grants, fellowships, patents, or first-authored publications at leading conferences
  • Experience with interpreting deep neural networks mechanistically
  • Demonstrated software engineering experience via internship, work experience, coding competitions, or open source contributions
  • Experience working and communicating cross functionally in team environment
