About the Role

Research Scientist Intern role at Meta's Reality Lab Research focusing on egocentric AI and vision-language models. Interns will conduct innovative research in multi-modal understanding, adaptive models, and long-term reasoning. The position involves publishing findings and collaborating with researchers on cutting-edge AI systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute innovative research to advance egocentric AI, multi-modal understanding, and long-term reasoning
  • Collaborate with researchers and engineers to design, develop, and run experiments and prototype systems
  • Publish research findings in top-tier conferences
  • Effectively present research outcomes to internal and external audiences

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

  • Currently has or is in the process of obtaining a PhD in Computer Vision, Natural Language, Reinforcement Learning, or related field
  • Programming experience in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, Jax
  • Research and/or work experience in machine learning, deep learning, and/or NLP
  • Proven track record of achievements demonstrated by grants, fellowships, patents, or publications at leading conferences
  • Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at hire and maintain it during employment

Nice to Have:

  • Experience building systems based on machine learning, reinforcement learning, and/or deep learning methods
  • Demonstrated SWE or research experience via internships, work, coding competitions, open source contributions, or top-tier publications
  • Intent to return to a degree-program after the internship
