About the Role
This is a PhD internship role focused on generative AI for digital characters within Meta's Reality Labs. The intern will research and develop prototypes for virtual humans using generative models, geometry reconstruction, and inverse graphics. Responsibilities include designing experiments, collaborating with researchers, and potentially publishing findings.Key Responsibilities
- Design and implementation of prototypes with emphasis on quality and speed
- Proposal and execution of experiments
- Collaboration with and support of other researchers across disciplines
- Communication of research agenda, progress, and results
- Planning and drafting of possible publication
Required Skills & Qualifications
Must Have:
- Currently has or is obtaining a PhD in Computer Vision, Computer Graphics, Machine Learning or related fields
- Experience with Generative AI
- Experience with geometry reconstruction (e.g., 3D gaussian splatting)
- 2+ years of experience with Python or PyTorch
- Must obtain work authorization in country of employment and maintain it
- Interpersonal skills for cross-group and cross-culture collaboration
Nice to Have:
- Intent to return to degree-program after internship
- Experience with unified generative text-to-image and text-to-video models
- Experience in facial rigging and animation, 3D gaussian splatting, autoregressive meshing, or inverse rendering
- Proven track record with accepted papers at top conferences like CVPR, SIGGRAPH, ECCV, ICCV, NeurIPS
