About the Role

This is a PhD internship position at Meta's Reality Labs Research Team focusing on rendering and reconstruction technologies for AR/VR. The intern will work on 3D human digitization, neural rendering, and virtual telepresence research. Responsibilities include algorithm design, prototyping experimental systems, and collaborating with researchers across disciplines.

  • Communication of research agenda, progress and results

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a PhD in Computer Vision, Computer Graphics, Machine Learning or related fields
  • Experience with neural rendering, implicit representations, deformation models, lightstage geometry reconstruction, or forward and inverse rendering of physically based shading models
  • Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment

Nice to Have:

  • Intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship
  • 2+ years of experience with 3D geometry reconstruction and representation, BRDF and light transport algorithms, or machine learning
  • Experience with Deep Learning
  • Proven track record of achieving results as demonstrated in accepted papers at top computer vision, computer graphics or machine learning related conferences
  • Interpersonal skills: cross-group and cross-culture collaboration
