About the Role

Research Scientist role focused on advancing robotic dexterous manipulation through novel architectures, multimodal sensing, and machine learning. Responsibilities include developing robotic systems, algorithms, and prototypes. Requires a PhD and research experience in robotics, AI, or related fields.

Key Responsibilities

  • Explore novel robotic architectures for dynamic in-hand and dexterous manipulation
  • Research sensors, planning algorithms, and multimodal perception for robotics
  • Develop machine learning models and end-to-end applications for robotics
  • Invent paradigms for robotics sensing and intelligence using various modalities
  • Integrate research into system-level robotic prototypes

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

  • PhD in Robotics, AI, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or related field (or in process)
  • Research experience in robotics, dexterous manipulation, control theory, or AI/ML areas
  • Experience in C/C++, Python, and deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow)
  • Must obtain work authorization in country of employment

Nice to Have:

  • Proven track record with publications at leading conferences (e.g., RSS, ICRA, NeurIPS, CVPR)
  • Experience with humanoid robots and embedded systems
  • Experience with ROS, robotic simulations, and real-world robots
  • Experience debugging prototype hardware-software systems
  • Experience working cross-functionally in teams
