About the Role

Senior AI Engineer role at PAR Technology Corporation, focused on architecting and integrating AI-powered products for retail solutions. This hands-on builder position requires turning business needs into production-ready solutions using foundational ML and cutting-edge Generative AI. The role involves defining foundational architecture, establishing engineering best practices, and building services for future retail offerings.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and establish foundational architecture and best practices for all future AI/ML projects
• Design, build, train, and deploy machine learning models to solve key business problems
• Collaborate with engineers to evaluate existing PoCs and optimize algorithms for scalability
• Establish and champion MLOps best practices to create robust automated machine learning lifecycle
• Work with product managers and business leaders to identify high-impact AI opportunities

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience
• 3+ years of hands-on experience developing and deploying AI/ML solutions
• Proven experience architecting solutions using modern AI services from major cloud providers
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field

Nice to Have:

• Experience with other model types such as deep learning or reinforcement learning
• Experience integrating ML solutions with CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tools
• Experience in Fuel and CStore industry, Customer Loyalty, and/or Payments
