About the Role

The Senior Applied Scientist will develop Generative AI algorithms and modeling techniques with Large Language Models and multimodal systems. They will leverage Amazon's data and computing resources to advance GenAI technology and impact customer products.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead development of GenAI algorithms and modeling techniques
• Advance state-of-the-art with Large Language Models
• Impact customers through speech and language technology products
• Leverage heterogeneous data sources and large-scale computing
• Work with talented peers in the AGI team

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• PhD or Master's degree with 4+ years of applied research experience
• 4+ years building machine learning models for business applications
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python, or related language
• Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning

Nice to Have:

• PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
• Strong experience with Generative AI technologies and Large Language Models
• Experience with patents or publications at top-tier conferences or journals
• Experience with popular deep learning frameworks like PyTorch
