About the Role

The Senior Applied Scientist will work on pre-training methodologies for Generative AI models within the Artificial General Intelligence team. Responsibilities include scaling laws, hardware-informed model architecture, optimization methods, and distributed training solutions. The role involves close interaction with customers and the research community.

Key Responsibilities

• Scaling laws for GenAI models
• Hardware-informed efficient model architecture and low-precision training
• Optimization methods, learning objectives, and curriculum design
• Deep learning theories on hyperparameter search and self-supervised learning
• Distributed training methods and solutions

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• PhD or Master's degree with 5+ years of applied research experience
• 3+ years of building machine learning models for business applications
• Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python, or related language

Nice to Have:

• PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
• Relevant Generative AI research experience with LLMs and multi-modalities
• Experience with patents or publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals
