About the Role

The Senior Applied Scientist role involves prototyping, optimizing, and deploying ML algorithms to solve digital business problems. Responsibilities include researching AI/ML advancements, collaborating on technical projects, and publishing research papers. The position requires strong ML expertise and experience in dynamic, cross-functional environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Research, experiment and build Proof Of Concepts advancing AI & ML state of the art
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect and execute AI projects
• Adapt quickly to evolving technical requirements and deadlines in dynamic environments
• Engage in technical communication and coordination across teams
• Publish research papers in internal and external venues of repute

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• 5+ years of building machine learning models for business application experience
• PhD, or Master's degree and 10+ years of applied research experience
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
• Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning

Nice to Have:

• Experience with modeling tools such as R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, Tensorflow, numpy, scipy
• Experience with large scale distributed systems such as Hadoop, Spark
• Publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals
• Track record of diving into data to discover hidden patterns and conducting error analysis
