About the Role

Senior Data Scientist role focusing on Gen-AI and science initiatives within Amazon Global Selling. Responsibilities include applying advanced analytics, AI/ML, and statistical techniques to derive insights from large datasets, designing experiments, building models, and developing metrics. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement generative AI solutions and drive business impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with BIE, DE, PM, CSM to research, design, develop, and evaluate generative AI solutions
• Interact with stakeholders to understand business problems and guide implementation of generative AI solutions
• Create and deliver best practice recommendations, tutorials, blog posts, sample code, and presentations
• Design experiments, build models, and develop metrics to evaluate system strengths and weaknesses
• Turn findings into actionable reports and recommendations for customer impact

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• 8+ years of data scientist or similar role experience
• 6+ years of experience with data querying languages (e.g., SQL), scripting languages (e.g., Python), or statistical software
• Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, data science, engineering)
• Experience with statistical models (e.g., multinomial logistic regression)
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Python for building, training, and evaluating models

Nice to Have:

• 2+ years of data visualization experience using AWS QuickSight, Tableau, R Shiny, etc.
• Experience managing data pipelines
• Experience as a leader and mentor on a data science team
• Experience working collaboratively with data engineers and business intelligence engineers
