About the Role

Senior Data Scientist role at AWS focusing on applying Generative AI and machine learning to solve real-world problems in the Media & Entertainment industry. You will collaborate with teams to design, develop, and evaluate AI algorithms, work directly with customers to implement solutions, and create best practices and educational content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with AI/ML scientists, engineers, and architects to research, design, develop, and evaluate modern generative AI algorithms and build ML systems
  • Interact with customers directly to understand business problems, aid in implementation of generative AI solutions, and guide adoption patterns
  • Create and deliver best practice recommendations, tutorials, blog posts, publications, sample code, and presentations for stakeholders
  • Provide customer and market feedback to Product and Engineering teams to help define product direction
  • Design and run experiments, research new algorithms, and optimize risk, profitability, and customer experience

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

  • Experience with statistical models e.g. multinomial logistic regression
  • Experience with data scripting languages (e.g. SQL, Python, R etc.) or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R, SAS, or Matlab)
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, data science, business analytics, economics, finance, engineering, or computer science
  • 5+ years of data scientist experience
  • 10 years Media and Entertainment Experience

Nice to Have:

  • Experience as a leader and mentor on a data science team
  • Master's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, data science, business analytics, economics, finance, engineering, or computer science
  • PhD in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, data science, business analytics, economics, finance, engineering, or computer science
  • Experience with machine learning/statistical modeling data analysis tools and techniques, and parameters that affect their performance
  • Hands on experience with deep learning (e.g., CNN, RNN, LSTM, Transformer)
  • Experience in training and fine-tuning of Large Language Models (LLMs) and knowledge of AWS platform and tools or equivalent cloud experience

  • Geographic market-based base pay ranging from $143,300 to $247,600 per year
