About the Role

Senior Electrical Data Center Engineer responsible for evaluating and selecting colocation facilities that meet AWS business requirements. The role involves conducting on-site assessments, performing risk analyses, influencing design standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure data center infrastructure reliability and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site assessments for colocation data centers according to AWS standards
• Execute risk analyses and availability calculations for vendor infrastructure
• Influence AWS design requirements and specifications for colocation products
• Investigate and document root cause analysis of infrastructure failures
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and commissioning teams to test critical systems

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• 6+ years of data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience
• 6+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
• Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment

Nice to Have:

• Professional Engineering or Architectural License
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region
• Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment
