About the Role

Senior Researcher role at Microsoft Applied Sciences Group focusing on computer vision and multimodal models to enhance Windows experiences. Key Responsibilities

• Research in computer vision using deep learning techniques
• Train, distill, and finetune computer vision models in PyTorch and AzureML
• Build machine learning pipelines to test designs and algorithms
• Develop synthetic data generation strategies
• Follow state-of-the-art research, write papers, and attend conferences

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Bachelor's Degree in related field with 2+ years experience OR Master's with 1+ year OR Doctorate OR equivalent experience
• 3+ years of Python experience
• 2+ years experience with machine learning frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow
• Experience in computer vision and/or signal processing
• Experience in deep learning, including operators and numerical optimization
• Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud background check

Nice to Have:

• 3+ years' experience with Python and deep learning libraries
• Record of publications in top-tier conferences or journals (e.g., ICLR, CVPR, NeurIPS)
• Experience in low-level computer vision, focusing on image and video quality enhancement
