About the Role

Software Engineer role on the Azure Core Dedicated Team, developing backend systems and tools for secure, scalable cloud services like Azure VMware Solution and AI/GPU infrastructure. Responsibilities include coding, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring high standards for security and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Breaks down work items into actionable tasks and supports feature deployments
• Partners with cross-functional teams to define requirements and integrate feedback
• Applies coding standards, participates in code reviews, and uses debugging tools
• Supports documentation and contributes to architectural discussions
• Participates in live service operations and acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI)

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline OR equivalent experience
• Proven experience coding in F#, C#, Python, and/or Go
• Professional or academic experience with distributed systems, cloud computing, and/or unit testing
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements

Nice to Have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field AND 1+ years technical engineering experience
• Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field
• A growth mindset with desire to learn, engage, and collaborate
