About the Role

Software Engineer II role in Azure Core Economics team developing data-intensive products for cloud economics. Work on pricing optimization, demand forecasting, and capacity management using large datasets. Collaborate with economists and data scientists to improve Azure platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and execute project plans
• Create and implement extensible code for products with minimal supervision
• Apply best practices for secure code development and validation
• Contribute to design documents and test strategies to ensure quality
• Classify and analyze data to create monitoring outputs like dashboards

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field AND 3+ years coding experience in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent
• 1+ years experience in cloud environment (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire and every two years
• Ability to meet security screening requirements

Nice to Have:

• Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience OR Master's Degree AND 3+ years experience
• 1+ years experience with relational databases, SQL, and data warehousing concepts
• 1+ years experience with economics-oriented, data-intensive products
• 3+ years cloud experience including 1+ years deploying ML models at scale
