About the Role
Software Engineer II role in Azure Core Economics team developing data-intensive products for cloud economics. Work on pricing optimization, demand forecasting, and capacity management using large datasets. Collaborate with economists and data scientists to improve Azure platform.Key Responsibilities
- Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and execute project plans
- Create and implement extensible code for products with minimal supervision
- Apply best practices for secure code development and validation
- Contribute to design documents and test strategies to ensure quality
- Classify and analyze data to create monitoring outputs like dashboards
Required Skills & Qualifications
Must Have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field AND 3+ years coding experience in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent
- 1+ years experience in cloud environment (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire and every two years
- Ability to meet security screening requirements
Nice to Have:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience OR Master's Degree AND 3+ years experience
- 1+ years experience with relational databases, SQL, and data warehousing concepts
- 1+ years experience with economics-oriented, data-intensive products
- 3+ years cloud experience including 1+ years deploying ML models at scale
