About the Role

Microsoft seeks a Software Engineer for Copilot Studio to develop scalable, low-latency Azure services and APIs that enable copilots across platforms like Teams and Outlook. The role involves designing and maintaining large-scale distributed systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring reliability, security, and performance. Candidates should have experience with cloud platforms, service development, and programming languages like C# and .NET.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with partner teams to deliver end-to-end systems and experiences
• Investigate and prototype new technologies and frameworks in Azure
• Ensure availability, latency, and scalability needs are addressed by engineering reliability into software and systems
• Focus on operability including security, privacy, resiliency, and disaster recovery
• Contribute to team-wide infrastructure investments and review design, architecture, and standards

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline with coding experience in languages like C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience in software development using .NET (C#, Web API, REST)
• 2+ years of industry experience in service development, shipping services through multiple releases
• Real-world experience developing large scale online services with robust performance, resiliency, telemetry, and security

Nice to Have:

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field with coding experience
• Solid proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript with web client application development experience on cloud platforms
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks
• Knowledge of running Azure or similarly scaled services
• Familiarity with AI platforms
