About the Role

The role is a Backend Software Engineer on Microsoft's Commercial Marketplace team, responsible for developing large-scale cloud services that enable customers to discover and purchase cloud solutions. The engineer will work on backend and frontend development, focusing on architecture, security, and integration with complex systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Be accountable for major development efforts
• Write design specifications that address business requirements
• Represent the team in technical meetings
• Own and maintain service live site operations
• Focus on engineering, security, and compliance

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• At least 3 years of proven hands-on experience building large-scale software and services
• BSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field OR Equivalent experience
• Experience in cloud service development and working with data (C#, Java, C++, or similar)
• Proficiency in spoken and written English

Nice to Have:

• Experience with AI
• Have Cloud and Azure experience
• Be interested in working in a global environment
