About the Role

This role is for a Software Engineer specializing in SAP BTP and ABAP within Microsoft's Commerce Financial Services team. The engineer will design, develop, and maintain SAP solutions for procurement processes, working with technologies like ABAP, SAP BTP, and integration tools. Responsibilities include leading feature development, implementing CI/CD practices, and collaborating across teams to build scalable financial platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop large-scale distributed software services and solutions
• Practice Agile software development with telemetry and instrumentation
• Adhere to sound software engineering practices through design and code reviews
• Design and implement an SAP ecosystem that fulfills business requirements
• Lead the team in adopting relevant new technologies and tools

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• BE/BTech/ME/MTech in Computer Science or related technical discipline
• 5-8 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP Programming (Advanced ABAP OOPS, OData, Restful ABAP, SAP Workflow, SAPUI5, Fiori)
• Working knowledge of SAP BTP / Cloud Integration Gateway (CIG)
• Experience of Integration of SAP ERP system with other SAP Solutions and non-SAP systems
• Strong problem solving, troubleshooting skills along with sound judgement and decision-making skills

Nice to Have:

• ABAP on HANA and S/4HANA Implementation or SoH experience
• Understanding of the Source to Pay business process
• Knowledge in developing solutions in Microsoft Azure Platform (App services, Azure Synapse, Event hub, etc.)
