About the Role

Amazon is seeking an experienced Software Engineer with AI background to join their team in building GenAI-powered tools for automating launch strategies in global e-commerce expansion. The role involves designing frameworks for GenAI integration, collaborating with engineering and science teams, and establishing best practices for AI development across the organization. This position focuses on enhancing productivity and driving adoption of AI solutions in a distributed environment impacting over 150 countries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement frameworks for seamless GenAI integration into existing products and workflows
  • Collaborate with engineering and applied scientists to identify opportunities for AI-driven automation and efficiency improvements
  • Establish best practices and guidelines for GenAI development and usage across the organization
  • Develop reference architectures and technical guidelines for GenAI feature integration
  • Drive adoption of GenAI solutions through technical demonstrations, workshops, and documentation

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

  • Professional software development experience with focus on AI/ML technologies
  • Design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability, scaling) of new and existing systems
  • Experience with at least one software programming language
  • Experience with GenAI platforms and services (e.g., Anthropic, Bedrock, OpenAI), Prompt Engineering, and AI Agents
  • Experience with LLM/SLM frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex)
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex technical concepts
  • Experience with building and maintaining scalable MLOps pipelines

Nice to Have:

  • Full software development life cycle experience including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent
  • Experience with Data Engineering pipelines including Vector Databases (e.g., OpenSearch, PGVector)
  • Contributions to open-source AI projects
