About the Role

The Solution Engineer role at Microsoft involves crafting transformative AI solutions for enterprise customers, delivering value-based demonstrations, and supporting sales teams to advance pipeline revenue. This pre-sales consultant position requires translating technical concepts into business narratives and securing customer endorsements for solution designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Advance qualified pipeline revenue by demonstrating solution capabilities and securing customer solution design endorsement
• Proactively deliver compelling customer-centric solution demonstrations to build connections with decision-makers
• Engage with account team for solution envisioning sessions and business value assessments
• Address solution architecture considerations and competitive objection handling
• Collaborate with Partners and Customer Success to align on deployment plans and KPIs

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• 3+ years field sales experience with enterprise customers AND Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 5+ years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years experience OR Master's Degree with 3+ years experience OR equivalent experience
• Microsoft is unable to sponsor a work visa for this role
• Willingness to learn solution sets at 400 level in a quick ramp-up period if lacking direct experience

Nice to Have:

• 6+ years technical pre-sales, technical consulting, or technology delivery experience
• 4+ years experience with cloud/hybrid/on-premises infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, or technology management
• Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., Office 365, Power BI, Azure Architect, Cloud Platform Technologies, Information Security, Copilot Studio)
