About the Role

Lead science design and technical implementation for predictive modeling and forecasting at Amazon. Develop end-to-end ML solutions across business domains using various modeling approaches. Mentor junior scientists and contribute to team strategy in AI/ML.

Key Responsibilities

• Spearhead science design and technical implementation innovations across predictive modeling and forecasting
• Enhance existing models and create new ones to empower data-driven business decisions
• Develop end-to-end ML solutions from problem formulation to deployment
• Contribute to team's science strategy and mentor junior scientists
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• 5+ years of building machine learning models for business application experience
• PhD, or Master's degree and 5+ years of applied research experience
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
• Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning

Nice to Have:

• Experience with modeling tools such as R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, Tensorflow, numpy, scipy
• Experience with large scale distributed systems such as Hadoop, Spark
