About the Role

Systems Development Engineer role focused on developing and deploying edge-based solutions for equipment monitoring, data integration, and computer vision in Amazon's global fulfillment network. The engineer will work across embedded Linux systems and cloud platforms to build next-gen automation and ML/AI applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver technology solutions to solve business problems and contribute to new feature designs
• Identify and solve ambiguous problems or architectural deficiencies hindering innovation
• Improve operational health through design reviews and implementing high-quality solutions
• Support customers and partner teams by applying engineering best practices and developing tooling
• Enhance product resiliency, customer experience, maintainability, and cost

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline
• 3+ years of programming in Java, C++, Python, or related language
• Experience developing CI/CD pipelines with integration tests and observability metrics
• Low-level system experience with Linux and fleet management of edge devices

Nice to Have:

• 5+ years of hands-on development with Go programming language
• 3+ years of experience developing SaaS/IaaS applications using AWS CDK in TypeScript
• Experience developing front-end applications with JavaScript/React/Redux
