About the Role

This role is a Team Manager position for Artificial General Intelligence Data Services at Amazon, focusing on managing data labeling operations for Alexa's speech and language technologies. The manager will oversee daily job assignments, performance metrics, hiring, training, and process improvements to ensure high-quality labeled data for machine learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage job assignment and monitor performance metrics (volume, quality, adherence)
• Support hiring and training of new Associates
• Develop work schedules and balance workloads across various workflows
• Track quality/utilization metrics and file/track tickets to resolve productivity blocks
• Identify and implement process improvements using methodologies like Kaizen or Six Sigma

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Bachelor Degree (Any Stream) or advanced college education or experience in a Leadership/related management position
• Proficiency in verbal and written communication skills in English
• Experience in understanding performance metrics and developing them to measure progress against KPIs

Nice to Have:

• Experience with process improvement/quality control tools and methods
• Demonstrated ability to lead diverse talent, work cross-functionally, and build consensus
• Leadership experience in coaching and performance management
• Experience with aspects of speech and language technology
• Fluency in a foreign language (German, French, or Italian)
