About the Role

Technical Support Engineer role focusing on compliance and cybersecurity within Microsoft's Customer Service & Support team. Responsibilities include troubleshooting customer technical issues, providing feedback for product improvement, and collaborating on cross-team technical resolutions. The position offers flexible remote work and requires a background in IT or computer science with 1+ years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identifies and provides feedback to address process gaps and shares best practices
  • Resolves customer issues through problem solving, collaboration, and research
  • Performs in-depth product troubleshooting and remediation when needed
  • Collaborates on cross-team and cross-product technical issues
  • Assists in implementation of end-to-end readiness programs and mentors new engineers

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field AND 1+ years of technical support/IT experience OR 3+ years of technical support/IT experience
  • Business level fluency in English (read, write, speak)
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements
  • Pass Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire and every two years

Nice to Have:

  • Ability to work with a CyberDefender Mindset
  • CISSP, Comptia Security+, ISC2 CC, BTL1/2, GSIF/GCIC/GCED/GSEC, PSAA, Kepner-Tregoe or equivalent certification
  • Customer Service foundational knowledge or training/experience
  • 3+ years of experience providing support for enterprise level premier customers
  • Working knowledge of Purview Compliance (eDiscovery, Auditing, DLP, Secure Labels, etc.)
  • 2+ years of experience with Exchange or Office 365 (Exchange Online and Purview Compliance)
