About the Role
The Senior Technical Support Engineer role at Microsoft involves troubleshooting complex customer technical issues, collaborating with engineering teams, and contributing to product improvements. - Implements strategic business decisions with customers and partners to increase market share
- Contributes to automation techniques and diagnostic tools for cross-group effectiveness
- Provides feedback to product groups for product improvement and participates in case triage meetings
- Acts as an advisor to customers, handles escalated cases, and creates technical articles
- Performs complex product troubleshooting and collaborates with development teams for incident resolution
Required Skills & Qualifications
Must Have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field AND 3+ years of technical support/consulting/IT experience OR 5+ years of equivalent experience
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements
- Verification of citizenship due to legal restrictions for supporting U.S. government agencies
- Willingness to participate in a 24x7x365 on-call rotation
Nice to Have:
- Microsoft Technology Certifications
- Knowledge of Purview Security & Compliance or equivalent technologies
- Basic knowledge of networking protocols and endpoint behavior
- Familiarity with network traces or browser dev tools to analyze HTTP traffic
- Understanding of regular expression (REGEX)
- SC 900 certification
- PowerShell or scripting skills
